I installed it on heavy curtains and it opens/closes smoothly every time with no issues. The scheduling has been a game changer—morning light in, closed at night, and it just works. Setup was straightforward, the motor is quieter than I expected, and the battery has held up really well. It also integrates nicely with other SwitchBot devices and Home Assistant. Honestly, it’s one of those upgrades you forget you even made because it’s so reliable.

At first, the “Matter” compatibility felt a bit confusing, but support was genuinely helpful and walked me through the best setup. After adding a hub, everything worked the way I expected and the control felt solid. Schedules work without a hub, and while a couple features (like QuietDrift) don’t show up through Matter, day-to-day use has been excellent. Once you set it up properly, it’s a really good product.

I tried to open two curtains from one side, and that was pushing it past the halfway point. With a normal setup it works well, and the movement is smooth once calibrated. Recalibrating can be annoying, but when it’s dialed in, it’s consistent and does exactly what it’s supposed to. I’ll likely get a second unit for the best setup, but overall I’m happy with how it performs.

It’s not really “install in seconds”: there are multiple parts, the instructions can be confusing, and if your curtains open from the center you may need two units (which increases the cost). That said, customer service was excellent — they replied quickly and offered good alternatives. Once it was installed correctly, it worked smoothly and the convenience is absolutely worth it. Because of the support and the final result, I bumped up my rating.

I set it to slow drift mode in the morning to wake up with natural light and it’s honestly a nice quality-of-life improvement. Smooth performance and very happy with it.
